Let's teach children of the Heroes!

Since the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine, thousands of children have lost one or both parents. For some, this was the moment when their entire childhood fell apart. For others, it was a challenge to find new meaning and support.  Despite everything, these children dream, develop, learn, but face challenges every day that should not affect children's lives.

It is for them that the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the GoITeens online academy, is implementing the Teaching Children of Heroes project. Its goal is to provide children who lost their parents as a result of the war with access to quality IT education. This is not just knowledge, but an opportunity for a child to believe in themselves, find friends, gain new interests, and see their future.

That's why we created the Teaching Heroes to Kids project to give children access to quality IT education, help them believe in themselves, find support, and build their future.
In October 2023, we received funds from the dobro.ua platform of the UBB Charitable Foundation in the amount of UAH 178,535.98 based on a letter dated 10/23/2023 No. 23/10. By the end of December 2023, UAH 142,572.00 was transferred to Go Ahead Training LLC to pay for training services. Service delivery certificates totaling UAH 141,788.65 were received.

As of October 2024, the balance of unspent funds received amounted to UAH 36,747.33 (thirty-six thousand seven hundred and forty-seven UAH 33 kopecks), including UAH 783.35, which had already been transferred to the account of Go Ahead LLC but not used due to the cancellation of some classes.

On October 31, 2024, we received funds from the dobro.ua platform in the amount of UAH 90,100.00 based on a letter dated 10/29/2024. On 11/26/2024, we signed a new service agreement No. 26112024-DG, under which we started training for 10 new children.

As of the end of December 2024, the balance of unused funds received amounted to UAH 125,065.33 (one hundred twenty-five thousand sixty-five UAH 33 kopecks), which is planned to be used to pay for children's education until approximately January 2026.

In February 2025, we stopped fundraising for the project and reduced the amount from UAH 35,643,335.00 to UAH 271,892.81 actually raised, as fundraising took a long time and a decision was made to stop the implementation of this project.

As of the end of May 2025, out of the UAH 261,372.00 actually paid to the account of Goo Aitins LLC, training services worth UAH 240,916.00 were received. With these funds, 22 children underwent training within the framework of the project: 12 of them studied in the period from October 2023 to May 2024, and 10 more from the beginning of 2025. Of the ten children who started training in 2025, six have already completed the full course. Three stopped training for personal reasons without completing the full course, so two new children were included instead. Another
place that remained was transferred to a new participant.

In October 2025, the amount of UAH 3,750.00 was paid to the account of Goo Aitins LLC for the training of two more children in Scratch.

As of the end of December 2025, training in the amount of UAH 259,157.68 was received. The balance of UAH 9,478.30 will be used by April 2026. The total number of children who have completed the training courses or are still continuing their studies is 26. The children studied Python, Frontend PRO, Gamedev, Digital Design, Minecraft, Roblox, digital graphics and drawing, and Scratch. The participants' ages range from 9 to 16.
The program covers nine regions of Ukraine, as well as families living abroad. Eight children have IDP status, and five live in frontline
