School backpack. 2026

Dear friends! Thanks to you, we were able to create a truly joyful celebration for the children. Thanks to you, we were able to purchase school backpacks and basic school supplies for children facing difficult life circumstances.
         In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 48 dated February 24, 2021, between the Charitable Organization International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” and the Charitable Foundation “Caritas-Kyiv,” as well as Supplementary Agreement No. 48.89 dated May 28, 2026, the project “School Backpack. 2026,” with a budget of 150,000.00 UAH, was posted on the IFF “UBB” website—dobro.ua—with the aim of raising charitable donations to purchase backpacks and school supplies.
In Letter No. 112 dated August 28, 2026, we requested that the project amount be reduced to the amount actually raised—from 150,000.00 to 13,043.00 UAH (thirteen thousand forty-three UAH 00 kopecks) and to suspend the fundraising campaign due to low public engagement and the project’s loss of relevance, and to transfer the funds to our account for the purchase of the second batch of backpacks.
In total, as part of preparing children for the new school year, the “Caritas-Kyiv” Charitable Foundation purchased and distributed school backpacks and school supplies to 25 children for a total of 60,599.50 UAH, including funds from the “UBB” International Charitable Foundation in the amount of 13,043.00 UAH. Part of this aid consisted of 15 school backpacks with school supplies, purchased with funds raised thanks to donors on the dobro.ua platform.
Children from IDP families and families in temporary accommodation centers received school backpacks. For them, this was a sign of your care and love, as well as material support.
