Nastunia is a bright, talented and very kind girl. She studies well at school, is fond of music, loves to sing, plays the guitar and piano. The girl dreams of creating, developing, and enjoying life. She even has her own video on YouTube and is trying her hand at her mother's profession – manicure – with great interest.
But the girl has been overcoming a difficult life path since birth. From the very first visits to the pediatrician, mother and little Nastynia faced serious challenges. The child was diagnosed with two diseases at once: protracted jaundice, which they treated for more than six months, and a pathology of the hip joints – one leg was shorter than the other.
Just a few days after Nastia's "iron shackles" were removed, while bathing, her mother felt something hard under her hand – like a cherry pit. A neoplasm that can deform bones. The doctor confirmed that an urgent operation was needed at a regional hospital. Mom was in despair, because she was raising the baby alone, working part-time as a manicurist to survive with the child. The father abandoned the family and did not help. The mother cried at night and just prayed. And a miracle happened.
Before the operation, the doctor announced the incredible – the tumor disappeared on its own. Such cases happen one in a million. After that, life gradually began to improve. Anastasia is growing up, her mother works and tries to earn extra money to fulfill another dream of her daughter – to give her an electric guitar. But at the beginning of this year, everything changed again.
One morning, Nastia suddenly felt sick – she was urgently hospitalized. The hospital gave a terrible diagnosis – type 1 diabetes. The girl was on the verge of a coma, four days under an IV.
Now her life is daily insulin injections, constant sugar control, up to 10 finger pricks daily. Little fingers that should play the guitar are now constantly injured. Today, even simple things – drawing, studying, music – have become a challenge for Nastunia.
Continuous glucose monitoring sensors can change a child's life. They will avoid constant pain from punctures, help to better control the condition and allow Nastia to live an active child's life – to create, study, travel and simply enjoy every day.
Unfortunately, the mother's financial capabilities do not allow her to provide her daughter with this vital equipment. And she has no one to expect help from. Therefore, the mother asks to help, to support Nastia.
Give her a chance to live without pain and just be a child!
