Little Viktoria was born at 36 weeks. Immediately after the birth, the girl was transferred to the intensive care unit, where she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and 3-4 degree hemorrhage. After 6 days, the baby was taken to OKHMATDYT by ambulance, where the first surgery was performed to install an Omaya reservoir to reduce intracranial pressure. After that, Vika was waiting for a new operation, but her condition worsened due to metabolic disorders in her blood. After stabilization, Viktoria underwent surgery to remove the reservoir and install a bypass. As soon as the stitches healed, the girl was able to go home.

It seemed that the worst was over. But two weeks later, the child's temperature rose sharply and white spots appeared on the stitches – it was an infection. Again to OKHMATDYT, again to surgery – removal of the shunt and installation of external drainage. Vika spent two and a half months in the hospital under intravenous drips, and finally her vitals returned to normal. Then the doctors performed a new surgery to install a shunt system.

Finally, the girl was at home, and the period of adaptation began. The girl spent the first year of her life in a supine position, which caused a deformity of her skull and partial atrophy of the muscles in her neck and back. Later, Vika was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, episyndrome, partial atrophy of the optic nerves, and delayed statokinetic and speech development.

Over two years of constant treatment, Vika has already learned to hold her head, sit with support, and repeat sounds and certain syllables. But to consolidate these skills and learn something new, the girl needs rehabilitation. Help her get there!
