Strong Viktoria: from surgeries to victory! 2
Little Victoria was born at 36 weeks, and from the very first days of her life, her struggle for health began. Immediately after birth, the girl was transferred to the intensive care unit with a diagnosis of hydrocephalus and 3-4 degree hemorrhage. This was the beginning of a difficult and long path of treatment and surgeries.
Each operation was a challenge: First, the baby was fitted with an Omaya reservoir to reduce intracranial pressure. Then, after a sharp deterioration in her condition and metabolic disorders, doctors performed a bypass surgery. As soon as Vika returned home, two weeks later, complications began again – an infection of the sutures, a new operation, long months under drips...
Despite her severe diagnoses – cerebral palsy, episyndrome, partial optic atrophy - Victoria does not give up. Thanks to constant rehabilitation, she has already learned to hold her head, sit with support, and repeat sounds. But in order for her to continue developing and consolidating new skills, she needs regular treatment.
Without your support, Vika will not be able to continue attending these important rehabilitation courses. Every hryvnia is a step towards giving her a chance to live a full life. Let's support Vika!
