Difficult life with diabetes
Yehor has been suffering from diabetes for seven years. His mother remembers the day when the disease manifested itself. It happened in June. Her son was feeling sick, sweating and shaking. Yehor was put on an intravenous drip. Later, the diagnosis was made.
Yehor's life changed. He had a sweet tooth and loved sweets, so it was extremely difficult for him to control his diet. There were no sensors back then, and all measurements were made with a glucometer. This meant that it was very easy to miss a sugar spike. The boy was given an insulin pump, but he could not walk with it for a long time. Being a lively child who was also interested in football, he did not want to wear the pump all the time. During his illness, Yehor was twice hospitalized in the intensive care unit with severe hypoglycemia, seizures and loss of consciousness.
Now Yehor is 17 years old and dreams of entering an agricultural university. He loves nature and wants to become a forester. Yehor grew up without a father, and his mother works as a nurse. He has no one to help him, but he needs support. The funds are needed to buy glucose sensors, so we urge you to support Yehor.
