Yehor is 17 years old. He has been living with insulin-dependent diabetes for almost half of his life. It happened in the summer of 8 years ago. When doctors got involved, Yehor's blood sugar level was already critical. Then everything was the same as for all children with diabetes – intensive care, drips, diagnosis and a new way of life.
Later, we managed to buy a used insulin pump for Yehor. But a year later it stopped working. The guy did not have sensors for continuous sugar measurement. All of this led to many complications for the body: angiopathy, nephropathy, chronic gastritis, heart rhythm disorders. Diabetes is a very insidious disease that requires close monitoring and compensation. Otherwise, the consequences cannot be avoided.
Yehor realized his dream and entered the Agrarian University in Poltava. He has long seen his future in forestry and is gradually moving towards his goal. He grew up without a father, his mother is a nurse. She recently lost her job. Yehor is still unable to provide himself with the medical devices necessary to compensate for his diabetes – sensors. The boy needs support.
