Slobozhanska community: food assistance for IDPs

With our Armed Forces' successful operations to liberate Kharkiv Region, many of the families who fled the war in the spring, despite the danger, are returning to their homes.

As of today, 1,460 IDP families remain in the Slobozhanska community, who have nowhere to return - either because of the lack of electricity, heat and communications in the recently de-occupied communities, or because their homes and apartments have been fully or partially destroyed.

But while remaining relatively safe, IDP families are still in difficulty because the lack of jobs, the huge humanitarian aid deficit, and constant power outages make their lives simply unbearable, especially with the onset of winter.

In order to fully provide all the families of the Slobozhanska IDP community with food, we intend to raise funds for 1,460 food packages.

Each food kit will cost about 550 UAH, which includes several kinds of cereals, pasta, oil, sugar, canned meat and fish, and tea. With the rational consumption of food enough for 4 weeks for 1 person and 2 weeks for the family, and with additional sources of food (crop supplies, etc.) the period may increase in 2 times.
