Dasha is 11 years old, ten of which, she is battling with a rare progressive SMA disease – spinal muscular atrophy. This is a disease that takes away from a person the ability to walk, stand, sit, eat and even breathe, it literally eats up the muscles.

The girl's fight with SMA is a daily titanic work, orthopedic aids, medicines, injections, amino acids – everything to support the body and desperately stop the disease so that it does not progress quickly. This is a child's way of life – costly and lifelong.

Once, while sitting on Facebook, her mother was reading stories of parents whose children received treatment with Spinraza, where parents share the results and "skills" of their children. Dasha came up (at that time she could still walk) and began to read with interest: after reading the post to the end, she lowered her head and went to bed with tears. The girl was 9.5 years old and she understood that she had no future...

Parents managed to make it so that from December 25, 2020 Dasha began to receive the drug "Spinraza" (by lumbar injection into the spine under anesthesia), she became much stronger in her arms, the muscles acquired their shape, but she cannot walk yet. She learns to stand, undergoes rehabilitation and massage courses, trains in the pool and on exercise machines. In addition to physical activity, she takes medications in a complex manner.

Now it is necessary to undergo a 3-month course of Gliatilin in injections and capsules, which relieves paralysis and gives hope that the girl will still be able to walk! But, considering all the expenses of rehabilitating a child, the cost of this course is unaffordable for the family. They can't cope without you!
