Laughter and joy – in hospitals

If you have ever been in a hospital, remember: how often did a good mood accompany you there? We assume that only when they found out about the upcoming discharge. But a good mood in the hospital is worth its weight in gold: it increases the number of endorphins in the blood, which directly affect the immune system, that is, the ability of the body to fight the disease! To raise the level of these endorphins is the main purpose of our favorite team "Doctor Clown Dnipro".

Already 12 years of hospital clowning in the Dnipro. For 12 years, the permanent leader of clowns, Dr. Flashlight and his squad, regularly visits children at the Regional Children's Hospital in Dnipro. And in the walls of the most "heavy" departments: oncology, hematology, surgery, traumatology, the burn department starts laughing. Another 2-3 days after the visit of the clowns in the wards talk about them and recall their jokes. We will tell you in confidence that parents enjoy the visits to hospital clowns, no less than children. Doctors are also satisfied - courage only helps to fight the disease.

In 2018, our clowns visited the CSTO 255 times: that is, they pleased the children almost every working day for several hours! This is a great work that is done with love and maximum return. And each visit to the children is time, these are balloons and small gifts, soap bubbles and the use of props. Clowns need costumes, shoe covers, and sterilizers, fuel and maintenance of the Clown Car.

The most urgent needs of our hospital clowns are now:
1. Branded T-shirts (needed for recruits who graduate from the school of hospital clowns);
2. Soap bubbles (small jars with the image of a "smiley" are hung on the neck; they can be let right in the ward and given to children);
3. Liquid sterilizer (you need to use it in the hospital all the time);
4. Printed matter: report booklets (needed to attract partners and new volunteers to the project).
All this requires UAH 20 690.
