Sometimes, all it takes to start life is a spark—the warmth of human hearts, the faith of doctors, and the energy of kindness.

It was this belief that gave rise to the Energy of Life charity project, which SOCAR is implementing in partnership with UNBROKEN and dobro.ua to give the youngest patients—premature babies—a chance at life.

For SOCAR, this initiative is a continuation of its philosophy of responsible business, which cares not only about the energy in tanks, but also about the energy of humanity. In partnership with UNBROKEN, the National Rehabilitation Center that saves and restores lives after war, and the dobro.ua platform, SOCAR is joining forces to help those who are just beginning their journey in this world.

Every year, about 15,000 children are born prematurely in Ukraine. Their lives begin not with their first smile, but with a struggle — for breath, for warmth, for each day. The first minutes are especially difficult, when the child is not yet able to breathe on its own, and every second and every meter of the way to the intensive care unit is crucial.

This is where the doctors at St. Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv, part of the UNBROKEN ecosystem, come to the rescue. This is a place where children from all over the country are saved. Here, babies weighing less than a kilogram get a chance at life thanks to high-tech care, attention, and love from a team of neonatologists. But every day, doctors face one critical problem: a lack of specialized equipment for transporting infants in critical condition.

That is why the goal of the “Energy of Life” campaign is to raise funds for a modern transport incubator with a ventilator—a mobile resuscitation unit that allows infants to be safely transported from the delivery room to the intensive care unit.

Such an incubator maintains body temperature, provides oxygen supply, allows the necessary resuscitation equipment to be connected, and ensures safe transportation.

Together, we must ensure that the lives of the youngest begin with safety, not struggle.

Joining the “Energy of Life” charity campaign is easy:

1. Purchase any drink in a special charity cup at all SOCAR gas stations. 10 hryvnia from each cup will go towards the purchase of modern medical equipment for St. Nicholas Hospital.
2. Purchase an anti-stress heart at SOCAR gas stations — a symbol of care and support for premature babies. The heart costs 200 hryvnia.
3. Or make any charitable donation right now in the SOCAR level app or on the dobro.ua platform.

Each of your contributions is a step towards another child taking their first breath and filling with the energy of life!
