He is the one of the children who suffers from this form of primary immunodeficiency and such one is only 6 in Ukraine. To live a normal life, patients need expensive treatment and this is a gamma - interferon. Parents can buy this medication only for their money. The state provision of gamma- interferon in Ukraine is absent. The cost of one preventive course for one child is estimated usually 15 thousand UAH. Eugen’s family doesn’t have such amount to buy these medications. Zhenia is brought up only by this mother (grandmother and sister help) but the funds still not enough as the child is under the treatment all time.

Overwhelming majority of children with chronic granulomatous disease for abroad have chances to reach adulthood as well many adults, having chronic granulomatous disease, have jobs, families and children. After reaching teenage age, disease incidence has a tendency to decrease. It should be mentioned that many people with chronic granulomatous disease finish school, attend the higher education institutions and lead a normal life. These data from the developed countries where the people with this disease are provided with adequate treatment.

We are calling on all concerned people to pay their attention to this problem and take part in the program on supporting the children suffering from the chronic granulomatous disease.

Today there are only six such children. Every course of treatment with gamma-interferon is an additional opportunity not to be on the surgical table and avoid the next cephalopyosis and even just to live up to the teenage age that is a critical for them.
