Sonia needs constant sugar monitoring
At first glance, Sonechka seems to be a very active, energetic and restless child. However, behind this is the constant monitoring of blood sugar levels. The girl was diagnosed with diabetes six years ago, when she was less than four years old. This diagnosis turned upside down not only Sonia's life, but the whole family's.
It became even more difficult when she started going to school – due to her mobility and restlessness, Sonia suffers from hypoglycemia. In addition, other children treat her to sweets, and it is very difficult for the girl not to be tempted, and her blood sugar level rises sharply. Sonia has a talent for drawing and dreams of attending art school, but her illness also makes it difficult.
For more than a year now, Sonia has been injecting insulin herself, measuring her sugar with a glucometer, and because of this, there is no more room on her fingers. Only constant monitoring with sensors can make it easier to control her sugar levels. For some time, the parents bought the sensors at their own expense, but it became difficult for their family budget. The girl's mother is unable to work because she needs to constantly monitor Sonia's condition and her diet. Only her father, who also has a visual impairment, works in the family. Sonia needs help.
