This is the third time that the family of Ania Ishchenko has to ask for your help. The girl has a congenital heart defect and a Down syndrome. At the moment the girl’s state causes great concern, Ania is losing her weight rapidly, her hair falls out, there are bald spots, at the moment she requires urgent tests and maybe review of the hormone therapy doses. Ania is as small as Thumbelina, her weight is about 10 kg, which is a one-year old child’s weight. Food absorption problems lead to the weight deficiency. The child is hungry all the time. Moreover, chronic problems with food absorption exhaust the child, Ania is getting weaker and this influences other development parameters. The child’s height is slowing down, psychic and physical development is delaying. Bone tissue becomes soft due to the lack of calcium, her bones become fragile.

At present Ania is a pupil of the 3rd form, she studies at home according to the individual program. Parents take the girl 40 km from home for sessions at Inclusive Resource Center. She has 8 hours of such sessions per week. Ania requires constant work with a speech therapist, rehabilitation therapist and psychologist. The girl likes painting and clay modelling. Ania’s parents also work with her at home. The child is very exhausted due to the disease, so even a regular cold turns out to be a disaster for Ania. The girl very often has colds, infections are especially difficult and with serious complications. In case of illness, the baby's body is severely dehydrated, because she cannot drink.

The child requires gluten free diet permanently. The sum needed is 18 795 UAH. Ishchenkos can’t cope with the growing financial issues caused by the girl’s disease and ask to help them buy gluten free products and medicines for their daughter!
