Sunny thumberlina girl. 5
This is a story about a 14-year-old girl who has already experienced so much that others do not experience in their entire lives. Anechka is 103 cm tall and weighs only 9.8 kg (like a two-year-old child). She was born with Down syndrome and a heart defect, but the worst thing is that she was diagnosed with celiac disease and lactose deficiency. She cannot eat normally, her body does not digest food. She is like a bird trying to rise, but because of the disease her wings have almost no strength.
Anechka is a smile and a little joy for everyone who is with her. She admires everything beautiful, loves to collect autumn leaves and smell flowers. She is very well versed in the seasons and perceives information by ear. Anechka studies in the 7th grade of a regular school under an individualized home-based program, and her favorite subjects are drawing, modeling and music. She is good at drawing and sculpting plasticine figures, and loves to "cook" in her toy kitchen. She is sociable and loves to communicate with children, always trying to find a common language and a way to convey her feelings through facial expressions, gestures or a smile. Anechka is often sick, her body is weakened. Because of her diagnoses, she spends a lot of time in hospitals where she receives parenteral nutrition – she is given amino acids and lipids intravenously. Then it is possible to stabilize her weight a little, which gives temporary relief, but then the situation worsens again.
According to the recommendation of nutritionists, the child needs constant specialized feeding. Most of his diet should consist of expensive enteral formula with a high content of calories and protein. The girl needs more than 19,000 UAH per month for food, medicine and hygiene products. After the outbreak of the full-scale war, Anechka's mother lost her job, and the only thing left is a small pension, which is not enough to cover even the minimum needs. Our foundation is making efforts to raise funds for special food, medicines and hygiene products that the child needs for a year. Only together we can give Anechka a chance for a normal life. Please support her, because her future depends on your help. Your support is not just money, it is Ania's opportunity to live a full life. Let's give her hope and make her life easier!
