At first she stopped hearing, then walking...

Maria began to gradually lose her hearing from the age of 3, and recently, when the girl turned 18, she was diagnosed with bilateral deafness. Maria communicates in sign language and has certain pronunciation defects. Despite serious problems with hearing and speech, deaf teachers see a good perspective – hearing aids will be able to help Maria to hear better and master oral speech. But the family does not have the opportunity to purchase hearing aids on their own. 

Maria is a girl with twins who was born prematurely in the 31st week of pregnancy to a family who had no hearing problems. The girl grew up with delayed psychomotor and speech development, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spastic diplegia. And at the age of 3.6 years, Maria was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss lll-lV degree. The girl attended a specialized kindergarten, now she is studying at a specialized school for children with hearing impairments. 

In 2015, life posed a new challenge for Maria: the girl lost the ability to walk on her own. Since then, she has been using a wheelchair. Now the girl is 18 years old, she is studying in the 10th grade on an individual program. Maria has a variety of interests: she enjoys studying, knitting, drawing, embroidering and doing different hairstyles on long hair. 

But lately, the general health of the girl has deteriorated: Maria's hearing loss is harder to perceive speech and teaching material. The new hearing aids will help the girl to compensate for the degree of hearing loss, master conscious oral speech, successfully graduate from school and get a profession. 

Unfortunately, the girl's family cannot purchase hearing aids on their own, so she asks for help and hopes for the support of their daughter from all caring people!
