Become St. Nicholas for a child!

We ask your help in purchasing sweet gifts and books for the St. Nicholas Day for children CF "Caritas-Kyiv" cares about. "Caritas" despite all sorts of activities in 1992 in Kyiv provides diversifyong help and support to children from families who are in difficult circumstances. The main category, which shall include children whose parents are unable to fill their basic needs. For people who are unable to buy children clothes and food, a gift for St. Nicholas is a big challenge, but the fact that their child will be without a gift is the biggest challenge and pain for them. 

Today's charges "Caritas" - children from crisis, the poor, single parent, large families and disabled children. However, in recent years, CF "Caritas-Kyiv" trying not to ignore those needs and children with their parents were forced to leave their homes, seeking refuge from war and constant danger to their lives. So in general wards are 200 children who believe in miracles and expect gifts from St. Nicholas. Keep in mind the fact that some of them do not have parents, and in some cases even if they are, they lost their jobs, and therefore can not become St. Nicholas for their children. Many of these poor families have large debts to pay for utilities, some living in other people's homes, some of them on the street, or even in the street. They have no money for treatment, clothing and toiletries. These kids come in our organization, where they can eat what they often have only dreamed of.

Unfortunately, the money to buy presents for these children lacking neither father nor CF "Caritas-Kyiv", which for the past years tried to create their own holiday for children St. Nicholas. Since today the situation has slightly deteriorated and the number of needy children has increased at times, ask for your attention and support. We would like to remind you that in the social center of CF "Caritas" social workers, teachers, psychologists work with children, organize job training and game room for them. Training sessions, master classes, and groups are being conducted for them. For example, a group of cooking, where teens learn how to cook meals on their own. "Caritas" has also organized a football team where the children are training with the professional coach and participate in tournaments with their peers. Here children attend sessions of review and discussion of films, they are involved in fine arts, have access to a mini-library.

At the center the children spend most of their time, so great joy and wonder for them will be the arrival of St. Nicholas, which will give them more hope, goodness and faith in that there are people who are not indifferent to their situation.
