So many challenges for the baby

Volodymyr was born a deeply premature baby at 27 weeks with a weight of only 1 kilogram, the baby was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit under a ventilator because he could not breathe on his own. The boy experienced oxygen starvation, which resulted in hypoxia, blood poisoning and cardiac arrest. Fortunately, thanks to timely assistance, the boy survived and overcame these challenges. However, later Volodymyr suffered several intraventricular hemorrhages, which led to fluid accumulation in the ventricles of the brain. The boy underwent several surgeries on his head, after which he contracted bilateral pneumonia.

Again, intensive care and the worst prognosis from doctors – but the kid overcame pneumonia and recovered! Only six months later Volodya was discharged home. But already at the age of one, the boy was diagnosed with a new diagnosis: lower paraparesis and severe delay in psycho-motor development. However, this was not the end of the story: later, the boy had to undergo new kidney surgeries.

Now Volodya is 2 years old, and after 6 surgeries he needs quality recovery and rehabilitation. The boy still does not sit up, crawl, talk, chew, or eat on his own, and eats only food that has been blended. Volodymyr has poor eyesight and hearing, and strabismus. This kid has gone through too many tests, and now he really needs us. Let's help him get into rehabilitation – he deserves it.
