Oleksandra is now 14 years old. She does well in school, is fond of equestrian sports, and dreams of the future. But for thirteen years in a row, Sasha has lived according to a strict regimen: constant monitoring of blood sugar levels, multiple measurements, insulin injections, careful counting of carbohydrates, and fear of dangerous glucose fluctuations. When the girl was only a year old, she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The disease came on suddenly, without any warning. After numerous examinations, doctors made a diagnosis, and since then the family’s life has completely changed. They have repeatedly experienced difficult periods when her sugar levels dropped or rose sharply, requiring urgent help.
Sasha tries to live a full life, enjoy her childhood, and do the things she loves. But every day she has to overcome the difficulties that type 1 diabetes brings. Treatment of this disease requires significant expenses. Consumables, glucose monitoring devices, insulin, and regular medical examinations are constantly needed. This is a big financial burden for the family, because caring for the child’s health cannot wait.
The greatest need today is sensors for continuous glucose monitoring. They make it possible to monitor sugar levels around the clock, give a timely warning about a dangerous drop or rise, and help avoid serious complications. For a child, this is an opportunity to feel more confident, study calmly, do what she loves, and live an active life.
Unfortunately, Oleksandra’s family is unable to constantly provide their daughter with such sensors on their own, because they are expensive. That is why they sincerely ask you to help the child.
Your support will allow Oleksandra to maintain a stable glucose level, reduce the risk of dangerous conditions, and give her more safe and happy days.
