Dancing despite the illness
10-year-old Anastasia is a beautiful and intelligent girl. Since childhood, she has been very active and inquisitive. The girl has been ill since June 2024. When Nastia was admitted to the hospital, she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Since then, the girl has been insulin-dependent, and unfortunately, this disease is incurable today.
Like other girls, Nastia loved to draw and dance. At the age of 7, she began to take up dancing more seriously. In this, Nastia found the best way to express herself. When the girl first went to the dance floor, she thought it was just physical activity. But over time, Nastia realized that it was much more than that. Dancing is a language that does not require words. It allows a girl to express her feelings, mood, emotions. And she had a magical dream – to become a professional dancer!
The doctor recommended that Nastia buy continuous glucose monitoring sensors. This is a device that is necessary for an active lifestyle. It is capable of updating data on sugar levels every minute. The sensor looks like a small disk that is attached to the body. This process is almost painless and does not cause physical discomfort. Nastia now has hope that she will be able to continue dancing safely and realize her dreams. Until now, the family has been buying the sensors on their own, but now her parents are unable to spend money on it – they are facing financial difficulties. Nastia's mom is asking for help!
