Every day, doctors at the St. Nicholas Children's Hospital save the lives of hundreds of young patients. Every month, they perform at least 300 X-ray examinations, most of which are urgent diagnostics for children in critical condition. However, the hospital's old equipment often becomes a serious obstacle to quality medical care.
It is especially difficult to examine patients in the intensive care units (there are four of them in the hospital!) and children from the orthopaedic and trauma department. Moving seriously ill children who are on ventilators or have just undergone surgery is a life-threatening experience.
The new mobile X-ray system is not just a necessity, it is a chance for each child to be saved.
Every year, the hospital admits about 28,000 patients and conducts more than 90,000 consultations and examinations. And for many of these children, mobile X-rays will be critical in their diagnosis and treatment.
This project is being implemented through a collaboration between the dobro.ua charity platform, St. Nicholas Children's Hospital, and the Techiia Foundation. This synergy allows us to implement a vital project that helps save the most valuable thing - children's lives.
‘It is extremely important for us to support initiatives that change the lives of Ukrainians for the better. Children are the future of our country, and we cannot stand aside when it comes to their health and lives. Our team is confident that this device will help save thousands of little lives,’ said Oleg Krot, President of the Techiia Foundation.
‘Goodness knows no bounds, and by joining forces we will provide the hospital with a modern mobile X-ray machine that will facilitate the work of doctors and ensure quick and accurate diagnosis for each little patient.
‘TECHIIA's Techiia Foundation is funding this project 100%, showing how business and charity can work together to change the country's future.
We believe that combining common resources, professionalism of doctors, and everyone's concern brings us closer to ensuring that every child receives quality medical care when they need it most.
