Preterm birth is almost always unexpected, it scares the unknown outcome, worries, because the fears for the health of the baby, who is born prematurely, come to the fore. Modern methods of emergency care and nursing premature babies born at 26 to 28 weeks, can save the lives of most babies. But this requires the availability of modern equipment in hospitals.

Babies born at 28 to 32 weeks will have more severe problems breathing on their own because of the immaturity of their lungs and are more likely to need assisted breathing (CPR) or artificial ventilation. They are also more likely to have other problems associated with immaturity: they are more vulnerable to infection, cerebral circulation problems, hemorrhage, nonspecific enterocolitis (NEC), and development of vision problems (retinopathy). Nursing them requires more time, effort, patience and resources. However, with today's level of neonatal care, the chance of these children surviving is quite high - 95-98%. And many of these children grow up to be perfectly healthy.

Infusion therapy is one of the most important therapeutic measures in nursing preterm infants, designed to solve a wide range of medical problems. None of the modern methods of intensive care and resuscitation is without the use of infusion. It provides administration of medications and nutrition to children.

Modern infusion therapy in many cases requires administering medication in microdoses for a long time, which is technically impossible without infusion pumps syringe dispensers (infusomats) for infusion therapy. These are more promising devices that allow to accurately calculate the right dose and speed of drug administration, also protect from air entering a vein after the procedure is over.

The infusion machine plays an important role in clinical practice in the treatment of preterm infants - it allows administering drugs in precisely calculated dosage, avoiding its exceeding. Syringe pumps (dispensers) are most often used in intensive care units, as well as for anesthesia during surgical interventions. Syringe pumps (infusion pumps) are something without which it is impossible to leave a child.

The aim of our project is with your help to help the department of nursing premature babies at Odessa Oblast Children's Clinical Hospital. For 90 400 UAH we will buy a double-channel syringe pump which will give medicines and food to babies with pinpoint accuracy.
