Three severe diseases for one child. 5

How can one live when most of the internal organs work on the verge of failure and may fail you completely? How strong must be the human will to wake up every day and overcome everything again and again? We, as onlookers, will never really understand that. We can only help. Now Nastya’s lungs breathe with great difficulty, and an oxygen apparatus is required to support her. Also, her organism is emaciated, and special high-calorie nutrition is needed. To assimilate it, Nastya needs insulin, because she also has diabetes… She struggles with all her might, but she needs help!

Her first challenge started at birth. Cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease. It is almost like a lottery: a consequence of a DNA error. Nobody’s fault, just bad luck. In cystic fibrosis, all the body secretions are too viscous, including sputum in the lungs. It is difficult to cough it out, it sticks to the bronchial walls and blocks the lungs, and then various infectious agents occupy it. It is almost impossible to get rid of them completely. But they can be controlled by antibiotics, which prevent the infections from consuming the organism. And one should make inhalations, take special mucolytic drugs and do special exercises to clear the respiratory pathways. Always, at least twice a day, in the mornings and in the evenings. Nastya follows all these rules because her life depends on it. But this is not enough.

We ask you for help. We are raising funds to help Nastya's mother buy an oxygen apparatus with the necessary consumables, special nutrition, glucose tests and insulin pumps. The family cannot raise the necessary sum on its own, but if we help them together, the girl’s life will be much easier.
