Lev is a very active and cheerful child. He loves soccer, riding his bike and scooter, and enjoys drawing. His older brother is always by his side – his friend and a great source of support. Together, they grow up, play, and learn to overcome challenges.
Lev was almost 3 years old when his life changed dramatically. Doctors diagnosed him with type 1 diabetes, a severe form accompanied by diabetic ketoacidosis. Since then, insulin injections have become part of his daily routine, and the boy needs his blood sugar levels monitored around the clock.
At the start of the war, the family was forced to leave the Kharkiv region, leaving behind their home and their normal life. Now Lev lives with his mom, dad, and brother in Volyn. Because of his diabetes, the boy cannot attend preschool – his blood sugar levels require constant and careful monitoring. In order for Lev to live an active, safe, and free life, he urgently needs continuous glucose monitoring sensors. Such monitoring will help avoid dangerous conditions, reduce the number of finger pricks, and give the child the opportunity to simply be a child – to play, move around, and explore the world.
The family is asking for your support to purchase a monitoring system for Lev. Every contribution is an investment in his safety, health, and a fulfilling childhood.
