The war on the territory of Ukraine changed our usual life at one moment. And if people are basically able to take care of themselves and provide for their basic needs, animals’ life is in danger. Currently, tens of thousands of cats and dogs live in Ukrainian animal shelters. In peacetime, almost all shelters existed at the expense of volunteers. Since the beginning of the war, their provision has been drastically reduced, some shelters have been partially destroyed, and the usual routes for delivering aid are not safe to move around.
Animal shelters are on the brink of extinction. There is a critical shortage of food, feed, and veterinary drugs. There is a need for new cages and boxes in some places. Thousands of animals are now hungry and scared, hundreds are displaced. Today, more than ever, their lives depend on whether we can help them!
To feed 1,000 animals, we need 500 kg of feed per day, which is 16,000 UAH. And that's just for one day! And there are also needs for veterinary drugs, household goods, etc. Thanks to this project, we will be able to purchase 6,000 kg of food and distribute it among three shelters where there is an urgent need – enough food to feed the animals for a half month. We will also purchase the most necessary veterinary preparations and household goods for shelters.
Shelter workers are now doing everything they can to save the four-legged ones, but, unfortunately, they cannot fully cover all the needs.
However, all of us, united together, are able to change the situation! Each hryvnia will be used to ensure the work of shelters and save the lives of animals.
The contribution of each of you is important and priceless! Join the fundraiser to help the four-legged! Together we can do everything!
