Yaroslav has a severe type of diabetes. 2
Five-year-old Yaroslav has been living with a serious illness for a year and a half now, and unfortunately, it is not going to go away. A year ago, his parents began to notice irritability and mood swings. The boy drank a lot and often, and refused to eat. Yaroslav took a blood sugar test, and it showed 17... Life came to a halt: hospital, intensive care, tests, and the worst thing of all at that time – the boy had insulin-dependent severe diabetes.
But the world does not stand still. Although insulin dependence cannot be cured yet, science is developing new technologies. These technologies have also made it easier to monitor blood levels in type 1 diabetes.
Thanks to philanthropists, Yaroslav constantly uses a continuous monitor that monitors his blood glucose level. With it, the child feels comfortable, it is much easier to adjust the doses, you can see what food and how it affects the sugar level. There is no need to constantly prick the baby's tired fingers, and at night the monitoring keeps an eye on the blood sugar, which allows him to sleep well.
Yaroslav is a very active boy. He dreams of being a football player. Even when he is playing football or on the playground, the monitoring constantly scans the data, which allows him to check his glucose without being distracted from the game. Unfortunately, during the war, the family does not have enough money for sensors. A lot of money is spent on special food for Yaroslav.
Yaroslav's family is asking you for help, asking you to make their boy happier and feel like other children!
