Maksym Didenko is only 5 years old, but not childish trials have already fallen to his lot. Maksym courageously fights with a serious illness. Oncology in the boy was discovered two years ago. At some point, his parents noticed that their son began to walk uncertainly and stagger. Doctors prescribed a treatment that did nothing to help him. After MRI, a dangerous diagnosis, alas, was confirmed... Maksym has a brain tumor. Maksym’s parents did not believe that this happened to their child. But it was necessary to mobilize. Months of treatment lasted. The last "chemistry" Maksym passed in December 2018 and remission was achieved. But, unfortunately, a few months later the disease returned again. 

All had to start from the beginning. Behind there are 3 blocks of anti-relapse chemotherapy and a course of radiation therapy. After an MRI scan, doctors prescribed metronome chemotherapy to Maksym. The treatment is given to Maksym without the inherent special problems. In between treatment, the doctors let him go home. Despite his young age, the boy is not nervous in the department and calmly tolerates medical procedures. And the very first one runs for a blood test and does it even with some pleasure. Maksym has an additional incentive – for good behavior, the boy will receive a prize from the "box of courage".

The latest MRI showed a positive trend. Treatment for Maksym helps and you need to undergo two more courses of chemotherapy. To conduct the "chemistry", the boy’s parents ask for help in purchasing the expensive medicament Avastin. The cost of 3 packages of the drug is 29,079 UAH. The family no longer has the funds to purchase them.
