Captured by cerebral palsy
Aleksandra had no idea that a planned visit to the Women’s Care Clinic would end with an emergency Caesarean operation. Then, four years ago, the baby and mother were saved. But the consequences of premature birth gradually turned into a long list of diagnoses, the main of which is infantile cerebral palsy. Contrary to the peculiarities of development, Misha has enormous potential, and her mother has perseverance and faith in her son! For success, only one thing is missing: restoring a child costs a lot of money.
Misha was born very tiny, weighing a little more than a kilogram. The baby got home only after three months. Congenital malformation of the central nervous system led to a delay in the development of the boy and in the future to the serious diagnosis establishing.
Now Teddy Bear, as his mother affectionately calls him, is 4 years old. The boy is developing at his own pace, so he cannot walk and talk yet, but already sits and crawls on his own. Misha loves to listen to children's songs, to examine books with his mother and be swinging. Recently, the boy pleases with perseverance, attentiveness and a desire to learn. While developing fine motor skills, Misha is trying to control a spoon and get into his mouth, and he is also trying very hard to draw the most beautiful “scribbles” and give it to mom. And he will definitely succeed!
Misha visits the rehabilitation center at the place of residence, swims in the pool and takes hippotherapy courses with his beloved pony Batyrchik. Remedial gymnastics and exercises with mom at home are daily. And thanks to the lessons with a speech therapist, the boy began to chew food, speak separate letters and syllables. Several times a year, Misha visits Tomatis-Ukraine Kharkov Center, where with each visit, experts note the positive dynamics in the development of the boy and praise him for exercising at home.
Each small achievement, whether it is a new sound or a meaningful movement of the hand, inspires parents and gives strength to further fight the disease. Here are just the financial costs of a family where there is a child with disabilities, disproportionate to income. Therefore, Mishutka and his parents are pleading very strongly for help to pay for the next course at Tomatis-Ukraine Center: after all, this is another small step forward in the development of the boy!
