Unique surgery for Ksenia

On the way to school, Ksenia always stopped with cats, dogs, and especially she loved watching birds. She could walk for hours in the park next to the bird flocks. At home, she had a parrot that became her true friend. But in June Ksenia’s life changed dramatically: leg pain, examinations, CANCER. Now the girl watches the birds from the hospital window and draws her beloved parrot with pencils. Meanwhile, the doctors are trying to save her leg. 

The doctors at the National Cancer Institute can perform a unique surgery. This surgery involves the removal of the tumor and the implantation of the donor bone instead of the affected one. Thus, unlike prosthesis, such a bone does not need to be lengthened or replaced, as it will grow with the girl. Such surgeries have already been successfully performed by the Institute’s doctors.

Ksenia’s family raised half of the required amount. And the search for a donor bone abroad has already begun. It is now important to pay the bill on time. Until October, the bill payment can be delayed but it is impossible to lose time because cancer is a disease that doesn’t wait. It is vital to perform this unique surgery in time and to save Ksenia’s fulfilling life.
