Fighting from birth

Olesya had a lot of hardships from birth. When the girl was 4 years old she underwent a heart surgery. And now her life is at stake again because she has a blood cancer – leukemia. Every day she fights weakness, fever, pressure drops, nausea and pain. But Olesya doesn’t give up. To overcome the disease she needs medicines the total cost of which is more than 40 000 UAH!

Almost no supplies of medicines are delivered to the department, so the patients have to buy everything on their own. But the family has no money left.

The girl’s mother works as an assistant cook at the village school, she has a small salary and may lose it because she has to stay with Olesya and control the dropper at the hospital. The girl’s father is a mechanic at the company “Agrofrutika” with the salary about 3000 UAH. The family works in their own little farm; they have their vegetables and fruit from their orchard, they have livestock and in such a way they earn some money. They are hard-working people but now it is not enough. And they have no much time to work there because all the efforts are applied to overcome the disease. They spent everything they had to pay for the first part of the treatment but soon they would have to start the second block. Now they won’t be able to cope without the help of the others.

Olesya’s parents are in despair, it is hard for them to accept the disease as they are afraid if they can cope with everything. It affects them all. But treatment cannot be delayed because any pause may be fatal. The family asks all kind-hearted people to support and to help them.
