Sofia was born in a struggle. Her umbilical cord entanglement led to severe asphyxiation, and she spent 14 days in the intensive care unit and another month in the intensive care unit. She could not eat on her own, so the baby was fed through a probe... At the age of one, the girl was diagnosed with terrible diagnoses: spastic tetraparesis, anatomical brain disorders, hydrocephalus, hypogenesis of the corpus callosum, and cysts of the transparent membrane of the brain.

Today Sofia is 5 years old. She does not sit, walk, speak, or eat on her own. But she is cheerful. She loves to play with her older brother, responds to affection and light, and wants to live, develop, and be like other children.

Throughout the whole time, Sofia has been struggling every day together with her family. Treatment and rehabilitation are the only hope for the future. And now she urgently needs a new course.
