Almost all her life Zinaida Adamovna lives with a diagnosis of diabetes. From the age of 19, she constantly needs of insulin injections. The woman studied well at school, after she received the profession of a seamstress. But all her life she worked on the collective farm as a secretary. Now she is already retired, like her husband, with whom Zinaida Adamovna lived for half a century. Spouses have an adult daughter, who has her own family and she lives separately from her parents. 

Earlier, even under the Soviet regime, a woman regularly underwent diabetes treatment in Rivne, but now she is not treated for free, and there is no money for treatment. The Gerus family does not have its own farm, they live in an ordinary apartment and exist only in retirement. The husband was a driver at the local newspaper, and now he has back problems and only has one arm. He moves only thanks to a stick and needs constant supervision. And Zinaida Adamovna was his faithful assistant, until in December last year she had a heart attack. The hospital had surgery and installed a shunt. Since then, Zinaida Adamovna, like her husband, moves only with a stick.

Now this woman from two to three times a month, seizures occur. Plavix, which was prescribed by her cardiologist, can help her. But he is an expensive and elderly woman, lives in retirement in 2000 hryvnia, can not afford it. For the course of treatment, she needs 12 packages in the amount of 9396 hryvnia. Zinaida Adamovna appeals for help to caring people.
