Charity campaign "Great love to little hearts" by "Sadochok" TM of PepsiCo in Ukraine was created to save as many children with the inborn heart diseases since the price of the implant is too high for a usual Ukrainian family.
From the 1st of April till the 31st of May 10 kopecks from every liter of sold "Sadochok" juice the company will transfer for the purchase of implants for children with the inborn heart diseases.
Every year around 4,500 children with the inborn heart diseases who require a surgery are born in Ukraine. There are many reasons for this - genetics, environment, heavy labors or diseases during pregnancy. Several years ago, the diagnosis meant that the child faced surgery or disability, in worst cases even death. Fortunately, for now much has changed for the better - medicine progresses, and even the most complex types of heart failures can be treated from birth. It is not necessary to conduct an open heart surgery. Due to special occluder-implants, it is possible to close the heart opening. They enter through a tiny incision and move through a vein to the heart. Such surgeries are done free by the Institute of Heart of M. Amosov by the best surgeons.
However, doctors can not afford to provide each child with heart disease with such an implant.
The price of an occluder depends on a problem it is supposed to solve. It varies from 30 000 to a 100 000 grivnas. And it absolutely unbearable amount for the average family. But now everyone can become a real superhero for little hearts with defects. Within The charity campaign by TM "Sadochok" together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace funds will be raised for occluders for children from poor families from different regions of Ukraine. As stated - 10 kopecks from every sold liter of "Sadochok" juice or nectar will be transferred to help children with the inborn defected hearts. Choosing the occluder for each child will be based on individual data and according to the diagnosis.
"Some might think that 10 kopecks are a little amount, one little coin. But all over Ukraine, people drink juices of "Sadochok" TM and therefore 10 kopecks from every liter together represent a significant amount, which has the strength to save children's lives. Moreover, our consumers will not face the choice between charity and money since the price of the products will remain unchanged", says Hamid Alishov, head of Marketing, Juice category at PepsiCo company.
Our love to little hearts can save many lives and give them the future, the one they deserve - with friends, adventures, dreams and without mothers' tears. The partners of this charity project has also become so well-known trading network as METRO, Kopiika, Epicentr, Nova Liniia, OKKO and WOG.
