Sashko recently turned 9 years old. He is a cheerful boy with many friends. He loves animals dearly and has a cat, a dog, parrots, and a fish tank – and caring for them is not just a responsibility, but an expression of his love and joy.
Sasha loves travelling, enjoys drawing, and plays football with enthusiasm. He is active, curious, and dreams of a happy childhood filled with bright moments and new discoveries.
Almost a year ago, this always energetic and cheerful boy somehow grew thin and withdrew into himself. His parents went to the doctor, and the diagnosis came as a shock – type 1 diabetes. The illness arrived unexpectedly and forced Sasha's family to learn to live in a new way. The boy now uses glucose monitoring sensors. For him and his parents, this is the only way to see his blood sugar levels continuously while avoiding constant finger pricks. Fewer pricks – less pain.
Sashko is growing up in a family where he has 5 brothers. The large family lives in a small village in the Volyn region. Due to the high cost of the continuous monitoring he needs, the family is forced to turn to caring people for support. Please join the fundraiser and let's together give Sashko more safety and more happy childhood moments!
