Big steps of little boy Zhenia

We take thousands of steps every day without realizing it: to get to work, run errands, and meet with friends. As they say, happiness is in simple things. Having the ability to move around freely is quite a blessing. This project is about little boy Eugene Minaev who dreams of walking freely one day, and today he needs our help.

Zhenia, a 6-year-old boy, lives with his parents in the Kharkiv region. Zhenia is a long-awaited child; his mother struggled with Infertility for 20 Years. He was born at 33 weeks and was starved of oxygen during birth. Zhenia could not breathe well enough, so a ventilator was used for five days to provide breathing support. The boy was diagnosed with organic lesions of the CNS, lower paraparesis, and his parents decided to do everything in their power to fight for their child's health.

Zhenia has visited many doctors and undergone many rehabilitation courses in the six years of his life. Every day, the boy does exercises at home: he works hard to make his health better. Now the boy is able to stand with both legs straight for two minutes. These two minutes are the result of years of daily hard work by the boy and his parents. Such  progress has been possible thanks to the regular rehabilitation courses Evgene attends.

Zhenia is a curious and vivacious boy, he loves to draw and sculpt. He is also able to combine words into sentences and consciously answer questions. In order not to lose the acquired skills and progress further, Zhenya requires to attend regular physical rehabilitation treatment. 

We appeal to all kind people with a request to help us raise UAH 24,500 for a new rehabilitation course for little Zhenia. Parents cannot do this on their own. Help the boy live a healthier life! We believe that one day Zhenia will take her first Big small steps, and this will be a real happiness!
