Easter basket for your neighbor. 2026

Easter is traditionally a time of hope, family warmth, and tranquility, in which the light of Resurrection is born. It is a holiday when one desires to be close to loved ones, share a meal together, and experience the simple joy of unity. However, for many people in Ukraine, the war has made this impossible.

Thousands of families have been living without a home, without stability, without a sense of security for several years. Some celebrate Easter in temporary housing, some alone with their losses, and some in constant anxiety about tomorrow. For them, a holiday basket is often not a symbol, but real support.

In 2026, the Caritas-Kyiv Charitable Foundation is once again launching the "Easter basket for your neighbor" campaign to support lonely elderly people in difficult life circumstances and give them a sense of celebration. 

We plan to put together 100 food baskets with traditional Easter foods: Easter bread, meat products, cheese, eggs, butter, salt, and horseradish.

Each basket costs 584 UAH. The total amount needed to carry out the initiative is 58,400 UAH.

Every donation to this campaign matters. It is not just a set of products, but a sign of care, support, and humanity. It is a way to tell those who have lost a lot that they are not alone.
