Veronika dreams of becoming a doctor

Veronika was diagnosed with diabetes when she entered the 1st grade. The girl had severe acetonemic syndrome. The pediatrician prescribed sorbents and recommended drinking more water. But the girl continued to lose weight almost "before our eyes". When the first tests were done, there was no doubt about the diagnosis. Veronika was prescribed insulin therapy.

At first, the girl's body had a hard time getting used to insulin. Now it is easier. Veronika eats a strict diet and is not allowed to exercise. She lives with severe type 1 diabetes mellitus. The girl also has Arnold-Chiari syndrome type 2, which causes frequent headaches up to vomiting.

Veronika lives in a village in the Ternopil region. She has a few friends who know about her diagnosis, sincerely sympathize with her and try not to eat food that she shouldn't. With age, the girl became a bit more complex, lost interest in group classes and clubs. Veronika likes to read and listen to music more, and dreams of learning to play the guitar. She tries to study hard at school because she dreams of becoming a doctor.

Only her father earns money in the family, he is in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and after three bullet wounds he is now somewhere in Donetsk region. Mom cannot find a permanent job because her daughter needs constant supervision. Veronika often feels sick at school, and the nurse and teachers do not always understand what to do, so they constantly call her mother to school or to the shelter during air raids.

There is no help from relatives in the family, and all financial support depends on the father. He manages to support his children and wife, but Veronika's treatment is more difficult. The state only partially covers her daughter's treatment, so her mother asked for help with her daughter's treatment.
