The war deprived Polina of her home. The girl needs treatment

Polinka is a long-awaited and desired child in the Solovei family. She is already 12 years old, and her childhood is spent in a constant struggle for life and health. Already from the moment her new life was born, problems began – during pregnancy, her mother Natalya was diagnosed with stomach cancer.

After giving birth, the mother underwent successful surgery and chemotherapy. She is still fine. But the child started having seizures at six months. Since then, a lot of research has been done. Doctors established a diagnosis: congenital brain defect, structural and genetic epilepsy.

A long and expensive selection of anticonvulsant drugs for Polina began. It is still not possible to tame convulsions with medication. But rehabilitation, classes with a speech therapist and speech pathologist give positive results. The girl has the opportunity to study in a specialized school, reads, writes, solves mathematical exercises. But not only the daughter needs to be treated. Unfortunately, her mother was diagnosed with cancer again three years ago. Now it's breast cancer. Again surgery, chemotherapy, radiation. That is, again significant financial costs for treatment.

Currently, the family's financial situation is complicated by the fact that the family was forced to leave their home due to the war. Their hometown Melitopol is occupied and the family made a difficult decision to leave the city. But they continue to fight for a full life for their daughter.

Now Polina takes expensive medicines that her parents cannot afford. They need our help. On the recommendation of an epileptologist, the parents plan to start introducing a keto diet in October. There is hope that it will help in taming Polina's seizures.
