Fostering compassion through culinary creativity

Every child dreams of creating and sharing goodness. And every good deed can warm the heart of those who need it most. That is why the Caritas Berdychiv UGCC Charitable Foundation is launching the initiative "Fostering compassion through culinary creativity", which aims to combine children's creativity with care for people with disabilities.

Due to war and poverty, many elderly people and people with disabilities find themselves on the brink of survival. They often cannot afford quality food, and our support means more to them than just a piece of bread—it is a sign of care, respect, and love.

How does the project work?

• Children participate in cooking master classes.

• Volunteers and children work together to help package or decorate the finished dishes and create an atmosphere of care and attention for those who need it most.

Who do we help?

• People with disabilities who are unable to eat properly.

• Lonely elderly people who are left without proper support.

Expected results:

• Once a week, we will provide hot meals to 30 people with disabilities in our space.

• Over the course of three months, we plan to prepare and distribute 360 meals.

• Children will feel like they are part of a good cause and will learn compassion and mutual support.

Why is this important?

This project combines two areas: helping vulnerable people and educating children in the spirit of solidarity and compassion. Every item created by children's hands and every portion of food distributed is a bridge between generations, a sign that there are always those who support us.

Once again, we ask everyone to join in raising funds to purchase food for preparing hot meals at culinary workshops for teenagers and to help people in need.
