Victoria is taking steps towards recovery
Ten years ago, the Kirichenko family from the city of Dnipro gave birth to their long-awaited youngest daughter, Victoria. In the first year of life, the child's development did not cause concern. Vika was starting to talk, and her tests were normal. But then problems began. The baby fell ill with a viral cold, and it was impossible to reduce the high temperature with conventional medicines at home. Vika was taken to the hospital, and the fever was brought down with drips. But after this incident, the child changed a lot. She stopped responding to her name, became withdrawn, and did not make eye contact. And since then, the parents began a long road of treatment and rehabilitation for their daughter.
Wasting no time, her mother turned to neurologists and psychiatrists. Under her mother's supervision, Vika followed all the doctors' recommendations for medication, underwent electro-polarization several times, and took a course of TOMATIS. The girl has undergone several comprehensive examinations, including genetic analysis. She is periodically monitored at night, and rehabilitation and classes with specialized doctors are an integral part of her life.
Finally, the doctors were able to make the girl's final diagnosis: cognitive epileptiform disintegration, autism, hyperactivity, and delayed psycho-speech development.
Vika does not speak, she can repeat words when you ask her something, she does not call her parents, but she is gradually beginning to understand them. The girl's path to recovery is long and difficult, she is now taking small steps towards it, and the family is sincerely happy with each of her achievements. Vika's treatment involves daily intake of anticonvulsants. This acts as a preventive measure against long and frequent seizures.
The medication is too expensive for the girl's family. Vika's father works as a driver and her mother takes care of the child. The family has no savings, so they rely on charitable assistance.
