In the last years, there has been a stable growth of the rate of premature born children births. As widely known, all newborn children are fragile, but the premature born are too much greater extent, while the problem of preterm births stays among the problems, underestimated by the society. The goal of our project is to supply the Ukrainian hospitals with a necessary medical equipment for saving the preterm born babies.

Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology of NAMS of Ukraine is a leading research institution in the country in the field of maternal and child health, annually helps around 25 thousand of women and children. It takes the most difficult cases and has the highest indicators of successful help to the prematurely born children.

The intensive care unit strongly requires the oxygen tents, which are necessary for the oxygen therapy for newborns. Formation of proper breathing is a crucial stage of transition to the post-natal condition that affects the oxygen supply of all organs and systems, normal heartbeat, and life of the baby. Therefore, in the case of birth traumas and the development of pathologies, there is a need of external support for breathing until such time when the child can breathe on its own.

Lungs is a very fragile organ and the newborns' lungs are twice as vulnerable, therefore a special equipment is used for the series of oxygen therapy, it is adapted to the physiology and needs of the littlest patients. Currently one of the most widely spread devices is special oxygen tents, which can supply the necessary concentration of oxygen (up to 60%) for the proper breathing of children. Such high levels of saturation are achieved by a closed construction and the absence of leakage of oxygen into the surrounding air. The construction of the tent for newborns consists of transparent elements and allows to constantly monitor the baby without breaking the sealing of respiratory protection.
