I believe that I will be able to walk!

Tina was born on the 26th week of pregnancy and weighed only 1,1 kg. The girl was so tiny that her father could hold her in his palms. After her birth the baby spent 2,5 months at the pathology department of Odessa region children’s clinical hospital. During a long period of time Tina was able to eat only with the help of an enteral feeding tube, and finally she started to gain weight.

Doctors said that things are going not bad. Having gained 2,5 kilos Tina went home for the first time! Her parents were incredibly happy and thought that everything bad was left in the past. Tina grew and developed very fast at home. She held her head, she got on her hands, she was active. But one day the life of the family turned upside down. When Tina was 5 month old she had “Pentaxim” vaccination. After that the girl didn’t hold her head, muscles of legs became tensed, her state got worth every new day. Her parents visited many hospitals, took the girl for medical advice and diagnostics.

At first, specialists made a diagnosis “CNS disorder” and some months later “Cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis”. Parents were very upset at distressing news, but they pulled themselves together and started their struggle for the girl’s health. For six year of her life Tina sustained 9 rehabilitation courses at the International Clinic of Rehabilitation, 15 courses at the rehabilitation center “Budushchee”, 1 course at Khadjibey health resort and 2 courses at the referral center “Tomatis-Kiev”. She has also had extra courses of expensive medicinal treatment. The girl has Vojta therapy, Bobath therapy, remedial gymnastics every day, her father works with her. Tina visits referral centers, has massage courses, and she also works with a speech therapist at home.

From conversation with parents: "At present Tina can’t walk alone, can’t sit, can cope with commando crawling, eats independently and thanks God understands and talks well. When Tina’s younger brother was born, she became even more persistent, wants to reach good results. Our family prays for Tina to walk as soon as possible so as she can attend school just like other children. We registered for rehabilitation treatment at “Innovo” for January 2017, its cost comprises UAH 13,000. Due to the ongoing financial issues we are not able to pay for the rehabilitation of our daughter and heartedly ask all those who care help us bring our dream to life – put our daughter on her legs".
