Thanks to the charitable support of the mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine, we are implementing a project to purchase aspirators for the Chernivtsi Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.

The full-scale war unleashed by russia has significantly complicated the work of Ukrainian maternity hospitals. Due to stress, unstable access to medical care, and the evacuation of pregnant women – the number of premature births has increased.

Premature babies are the smallest and most vulnerable patients. Their organs are still immature; they cannot breathe independently or fight infections. Specialized care in the first minutes of life is critically important for them.

The Chernivtsi Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital* has an intensive care unit with 9 beds, where about 200 seriously ill newborns are treated annually, including refugee children from frontline regions. Due to heavy workload, 10-12 babies are often treated simultaneously.

To stabilize the breathing of newborns in critical condition, electric aspirators Atmos C261 are needed – devices for clearing the airways. Their use is the first step in saving a child’s life.

Within the framework of this project, we are purchasing 2 aspirators for this department. Having an individual device for each child is a chance to save lives.

Every saved baby is a victory of humanity and hope, even in the darkest times.
