Volodymyr is a 12-year-old boy who has been fighting for his life every day since birth. He was born healthy and strong. For three months, he grew well and developed normally. It all started with a common cold, which caused complications in his lungs. At the hospital, Volodymyr was diagnosed with pneumonia. After several days of treatment, he felt better, but not for long.

The boy began to suffocate and was transferred to intensive care under an oxygen mask, but his condition only worsened with each passing day. Almost every day, doctors made a new diagnosis, but no procedures were effective. For a whole month, everyone fought for Volodia's life. One of the doctors even began to gently prepare the family to say goodbye. But they still believed and prayed. Eventually, the child was put on a ventilator because he could no longer breathe on his own.

And then a miracle happened – after a week on the ventilator, Volodia, with a tube in his throat, began to smile for the first time in a month. The boy's condition began to improve gradually. The first general anesthetics, bronchoscopies, CT scans, numerous tests, and continuous treatment in hospitals in Chernivtsi and Kyiv, numerous cases of pneumonia, systems, injections, inhalations, bronchoscopies under general anesthesia – four and a half years passed like this. Volodymyr was finally given the correct diagnosis: primary immunodeficiency and cutaneous-mucosal candidiasis.

Unfortunately, Volodymyr's immune system does not function independently, so it needs constant medication. The boy constantly had mouth ulcers, which prevented him from eating. Sometimes it was even difficult for him to speak. But he is a brave boy: he fought and courageously endured all the procedures despite the doctors' predictions that he would never be able to walk or develop. The boy even went to a regular school. For three years, he attended art, chess, table tennis, and vocal clubs. He also really wants to wrestle, despite having suffered 12 broken limbs.

Volodia loves animals and insects very much – he even has an ant farm and watches the development of his ants with great pleasure. He has a favorite cat, Lapochka, and now he also has a hamster, which makes him very happy and helps him forget about his illnesses and pain, at least for a little while.

Volodia is currently experiencing an exacerbation: his family cannot afford the medication to support his immunity, so his entire mouth is covered with large and painful ulcers. The boy needs help with medication.
