One Ukrainian schoolgirl in a million chooses journalism. Inna Zhmud is the one, one in a million. She has made hundreds of packages which have helped thousands of people to save children, to reach out to thick-skinned utility service providers, to stand upon their right and stick up for their rights. And now Inna herself needs help. And again she is one in a million. In a million of oncology patients, there is only one similar case. Adrenocortical carcinoma of the left agrenal gland. Ukrainian doctors have done their best. But such cases are not cured in Ukraine. Germany has tackled the case.

They admit: it’s a rare case. The cancer is very aggressive and spreads incredibly fast. But German doctors are confident: there is a chance. The disease can be cured, there are methods and medicine. Besides, Inna is only 33 and she has a burning desire to overcome cancer.

”This rare disease must choose a person to settle down very thoroughly. And it has chosen me. Unfortunately. Or may be fortunately. Who knows. Nobody! says Inna. But there’s one thing I know for sure: unity is a strength! And what on Earth is this cancer? But this bastard loves money.”

There are two operations behind, 6 courses of chemotherapy ahead. 4 medical drugs. One of them is a fly poison. But something that is a poison for insects is an elixir of life for a young girl. The price for this life is 7 500 euros for each course of chemotherapy. Currently, we raise money for one course of chemotherapy

Her parents are a teacher and an employee for a public utility company. They don’t own such money and have already sold all they could. Now together with friends they are looking for money and praying for their daughter and those involved.

Inna is an ordinary girl from a small town of Konotop. After leaving the school she went to Kharkiv for studies and there, already with her diploma, she took first steps in journalism.

She has always been willing to seek justice even where it was unseen overcoming thousands of kilometers in any weather, opening hard-faced officials’ offices and giving hope to people. Even now, being treated Inna is trying to work: in public, she speaks about her disease, examinations, symptoms, and doctors; any information that can be useful for others.
