Save the homeless from starvation!

Our House is a community in which more than 60 homeless people are radically changing their lives. This home for the homeless has been built here for more than 10 years, by the joint efforts of the church, community and volunteers. All members of the community work on their own farm, in a furniture workshop and in a second-hand social shop. This is a really successful case of the homeless community, where everyone helps each other and lives as a family.

Although the organization is located near Drohobych, the homeless live with us from all over Ukraine. The community is constantly expanding, and 2 years ago the Drohobych City Council rented us a place to stay for the homeless and the poor, who can get shelter from us at any time: food, shower and spend the night. The fact that this shelter needs major repairs is another of our challenges. But as there are more and more needy and hungry people in our shelter, unfortunately, the working residents of the community are not able to provide food for everyone who needs it.

In our new home for the homeless, in the shelter,  already live 18 people. Most of them are homeless people with disabilities, as well as bedridden people. The community has recently begun accepting poor homeless women with children, some of whom have been rescued from street human trafficking. Our hostel is recognized as the only heating station in the city. We also regularly distribute hot lunches to poor people who do not live in the community. Every month, the community provides hot lunches to a minimum of 70 homeless and poor people. These are crazy funds that we can't earn on our own.
