Save a bird!

When did you last see a bullfinch? And when they hear the chirping of the nightingale under your windows? Birds, that we have seen or heard every day in child, our children can see only on computer screens. Fund "Ukraine! I am for you! "calls to support for this project, under which will be hung in Kiev feeders, birdhouses and information booths about birds. In our opinion it will preserve and restore bird populations not only in Kiev, but in Ukraine.

Population of birds, which play a crucial role in nature and human existence, is mass disappearing. The reasons of decrease in population are the destruction of old-growth forests where the birds nest, climate change that led to the fact that in March, falling 60 cm of snow and the birds can not physically get to the land where their food.

The number of birds decreased and as a result increased the number of mosquitoes that transmit various dangerous infections. Also cases of tree diseases as a result of actions of pests that previously ate birds. This directly affects the life of every person.

Our project will help to solve this problem. Since installing bird feeders in February and March will allow them to eat in the most difficult period for them - when natural food practically net. Installation birdhouses of different sizes will facilitate nesting and breeding different species of birds as adult large trees suitable for this purpose there are very few. They just were cut.

In addition, in our opinion, the project will be an important social message. Through this project we want to instill a love of nature, responsible not only for themselves, but also for someone to get children to social and environmental responsibility. Very ask each of you to support the project because it helps not only the birds of Ukraine, but also to preserve quality of the environment in which we all live.

This project was canceled, the amount collected is 3 670 UAH. The funds were disposed of in accordance with the Rules, Principles, and Procedures of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (UBB) International Charitable Fund and the decisions of the Project Donors.
