Let's save 1-month-old Nastusia!

In the ward for newborns there is a little girl whose name is Anastasia. After birth she never went home. There were no relatives beside her, only nurses and doctors. This little girl has small spinal hernia and symptomatic hydrocephalus. The doctors of the Institute of Neurosurgery are doing their best to save the girl as they believe that Nastia will recover and meet her brother and sister. The girl needs medicines every day but her parents can no longer buy them and ask for help.

The doctors discovered the problem when Nastia’s mother was still pregnant. It was a shock for her parents because they planned the pregnancy and were very careful. Their visits to several specialists were not successful and in most cases their reaction was quite cruel: “Your child will die in childbirth or it will be disabled”. However, one of the young specialists reassured the parents and took the pregnant woman under his supervision.

When Little Nasty was born she looked healthy. She was immediately hospitalized at the Institute of Neurosurgery, at the intensive care unit. Later on the doctors eliminated the symptoms of hydrocephalus which appeared as a result of a spinal hernia. The surgery to remove hernia is planned for the future.

Now the girl needs medication. There are a few medicines at the hospital, that’s why the parents have to buy almost everything. However, now they cannot afford it, that’s why they ask kind-hearted people to help.
