Save the children from allergies!

Wonderful warm summer! How anxiously our children are waiting for it! For Zaporizhzhia region, the industrial and metallurgical centre of Ukraine, summer is also the time for unpleasant surprises – the detection of mass episodes of bronchial asthma among children, severe allergic rhinitis. Incidence rates in the region differ significantly from other regions of Ukraine, which are not subject to industrial pollution. Under such conditions, plant pollen acquires particularly aggressive properties. 

But an allergy is not a reason to live a sheltered life, denying yourself a good rest, simple pleasures and delicious goodies. To feel confident and keep the disease under control, you need to recognize it in time. It is possible to identify the type of specific allergy in a child thanks to allergy testing. The only thing is that there no regents to detect types of allergies in children of the Zaporizhzhia region at present!

Timeliness and completeness of testing, an individual approach to therapy is the key to excellent results in the treatment of children. Unfortunately, in Zaporizhzhia Regional Clinical Children’s’ Hospital there are no reagents for diagnosing the type of allergies nowadays. Imagine that even the most experienced doctor cannot find out what exactly your child is suffocating of. He/she cannot reveal and help. For a complete and timely diagnosis of children, reagents are needed, the cost of which is 13,765 UAH per year.
