Let’s Save Viktoria
We are writing to you with a request for help for little Victoria. Her story began on December 28, 2021, at the 39th week of pregnancy, a girl weighing 3330 g and 54 cm tall was born. But the joy was replaced by fear and pain: the mother did not even have time to hug her child, because she was immediately transferred to the intensive care unit.
The doctors reported terrible news: Victoria could not breathe on her own, had hypoxia, a brain hemorrhage and seizures. There was almost no chance of life. However, this girl is a real fighter! She survived intensive care, hospitalization, numerous examinations and got her first chance at life.
Despite the difficult start, Victoria grew up and delighted her family with her small achievements. But at the age of 4 months, everything changed – seizures destroyed all her skills. Then the girl was hospitalized again. Thanks to the doctors, she no longer has seizures, but she still has spasticity, cerebral palsy and developmental delays.
Today Victoria is 3 years old. She can already hold her head, roll over, sit for several minutes, and eat chopped food. She understands everything, but does not speak, stand or walk yet. She has already completed 12 rehabilitation sessions, but more are needed. Doctors give hope that Victoria will be able to walk, jump, speak and be independent. However, this requires continuous work, many rehabilitations and funds that the family does not have.
Victoria's diagnosis sounds scary: сerebral palsy, double hemiplegia, developmental delay, symptomatic epilepsy, partial atrophy of the optic nerves... But for her mother, she is the strongest and most beautiful girl who deserves a happy childhood.
Together with you, we can raise funds for the next rehabilitation. Every hryvnia you give is a step towards new opportunities for Victoria. Your support can give her a chance to be like other children: to run, play and smile.
